Rudy Meyer, 2024
Bearing Responsibilities Is the Way – Atlas is an original pop art painting by artist Rudy Meyer, created in 2024.

The work reinterprets the classical figure of Atlas through a contemporary, urban lens. Using bold contrast, layered textures, and a strong graphic presence, the painting merges mythological symbolism with modern pop aesthetics, focusing on themes of pressure, endurance, and personal responsibility.

Executed in acrylic on canvas, the piece carries an expressive, street-influenced energy while maintaining the scale and presence of a serious original artwork. The surface shows intentional variation and painterly detail, reinforcing its one-of-one nature.

This is a unique original work, not part of an edition. It is signed by the artist, with a stenciled signature on the back of the stretcher, and comes ready to hang.
